Episode 1: Hippodrome Theatre, Bristol. Jeremy's 25th show. 'A version of 'Plot in 15 Seconds' is played for the first time since s19e01. Jeremy makes a joke about people avoiding Jimmy Saville. 
Episode 2: Hippodrome Theatre, Bristol. 'Questions and Answers' is played as 'Handy Hints'. Barry mentions is local 'Get-a-Life Club'. 
Episode 3: Hippodrome Theatre, Birmingham. Colin's 300th appearance. 'Chat Up Line Rejections' is the 75th new game of the decade. 'Lonely Hearts' is played for the first time since s40e03. 
Episode 4: 350th show. Hippodrome Theatre, Birmingham. Graeme's 325th show. 'Complete Quotes' is played as 'Incomplete Sentences'. 
Episode 5: Halifax. Rob Bryden makes his debut. Rob brilliantly sings 'Killing Me Softly' to the tune of 'The Bear Necessities'. 
Episode 6: Halifax. Barry's 325th show as a panellist, 331 in total. Tim's 325th appearance. Rob sings along with Tom Jones for the first time.

Jon Naismith's 28th series as Producer.

 

'Cheddar Gorge/Letter Writing', 'Film Club', 'One Song to the Tune of Another', 'Pick Up Song', 'Song Book', 'Sound Charades' and 'Uxbridge English Dictionary' are all played 3 times during this series.

​

This was the first series since 1977 which didn't feature 'Mornington Crescent' in any episodes.

Episode 2: Southport. 'Mornington Crescent' is played for the 105th time. 'Complete Quotes' is played as 'Complete Bastards'. 'Singing Relay' is played for the first time since s20e06 (1996).

Episode 6: Empire Theatre, Sunderland. Graeme sings along with Scissor Sisters for the second time. 'Strap-Lines' is played for the first time since s43e03.

Graeme has appeared in 333 shows. Tim and Barry have been in 331, but Barry was also in 6 as Chairman.

Colin has played in 309 recordings.  Samantha has been scorer in 220.

Jeremy has appeared in 28 shows, more than any other guest panellist.
Tony has now been in 21 episodes, Andy in 14 and Rob has been in 4.

19 October 2006 - The pilot episode of The Unbelievable Truth, a show devised by Graeme and Jon Naismith, is broadcast. The show is hosted by David Mitchell and features Andy Hamilton, Jeremy Hardy & is won by Graeme.  Iain Pattinson was a program consultant and the Producer was Jon Naismith.

5 November 2006 - Humph appears on Desert Island Discs for the second time, first appearing 3 September 1956.

25 December 2006 - The 2006 Christmas Special, a compilation show, is broadcast.
